- The passport of the United States citizen should at least have a validity of a day from their time of arrival in Costa Rica.
- The duration of stay of the tourists from the United States is limited to 90 days. For any visitor to extend their duration of stay to more than the limited period. The visitor must establish a permit of residence under the jurisdiction of the Costa Rican government.
