Our famous Tarzan Swing is jaw and stomach-dropping. Located at the Pacuare Eco-lodge, you’ll make your way to the edge of our launch platform, then scream or whisper “puerta” and your guide will release you over the canyon. You’ll initially drop until the slack is quickly under tension and then you’ll swing 70 feet off the ground. This is an experience you don’t want to miss.

This one is a little late but here goes. Apologies for the long windedness but if it helps you decide to go, its worth the read.
A few weeks ago we went on an adventure put together by the Pacuare Outdoor Center for the Hike Like a Woman group. They allowed spouses on this outing so it was my privilege to tag along. From beginning to end this was a completely amazing trip. Our daily guide was Imilay, and she was nothing short of outstanding. Always there to provide bits of information and knowledge about the areas that we traveled through. Never met anyone that can spot native wildlife as adeptly as she did from a moving tour vehicle. Our adventure was scripted with heaps of fun ranging from horse back riding, canyoning, rafting, ziplining and a super fun swing (Tarzan swing is a must!!!!!). Our guides for each segment were superb and they were experts at what they did. Dayron was excellent with the canyoning, our two day raft guide was Arturo and he made our entire raft of first timers feel comfortable and confident. David, Luis and Arturo all made the ziplines and tarzan swing events to remember. There were so many people involved with this that I couldn't catch all the names of the POC staff, but thank you for the truly fabulous meals and entertainment. All of the lodgings for the trip were fantastic and uniquely one of a kind experiences. To cap it all off when the trip ended, I forgot my phone on the tour bus. Any other time I would have written this off as lost for good. Tom (founder of POC), is making sure that the phone is getting returned to me, can't ask for much better service than that. Top notch all the way around. If you are thinking about a Costa Rica adventure, then these are the people you need to set it up. You won't be disappointed!!!!

This is a top-notch company that treats you like family instead of like a client. Kenneth and Andre were outstanding guides who made us feel at home, treated us with respect, watched out for our safety, and above all made it a trip to remember. All of the staff is outstanding. I really enjoyed the guys singing while they fixed the meals and I appreciated their sense of humor and easy-going ways. You won't regret booking with Pacuare!

We had so much fun last year that we came back a second time...and this time we brought a group of friends.
There are a lot of things that make the POC special - but it really comes down to the staff and guides who treat us like family. They go out of their way to make sure that everyone is comfortable, taken care of, safe and happy.
The activities offered by the POC are fun and amazing - from the tarzan swing to rafting. Adventure travel brought us to Costa Rica but we'll keep coming back again and again because we feel like we're part of the POC family.
We highly recommend the POC if you're visiting Costa Rica and looking for an ethical, friendly, and professional guiding company.

Adventurers, look no further - book your trip with Pacuare outdoor center now! Our 4 day adventure was THE trip of a lifetime and the guides were a huge part of that. Raffael (Raffa) was our lead guide and Johnathan was our adventure guide. Between the two, we learned and experienced so much in the most fun, immersive, and cultural way possible. The Rio Vista lodge was outstanding and such a perfect location to disconnect and take in the surroundings…what a view!!!! The safety precautions and equipment for every single adventure were top notch! The food and hospitality was absolutely unbelievable! The river sounds at night and the amazing little bungalow style rooms were icing on the cake. I will DEFINITELY be coming back! Thank you to Raffa for your organizing everything and to Johnathan for your amazingly fun personality! Wouldn’t wanted to experience Costa Rica in any other way!

I go on holiday twice a year and out of all my experiences ranging from all inclusive resorts to 5 star hotels this is absolutely the most memorable and enjoyable experience out of all. If you enjoy adventure and looking for an authentic but still luxurious jungle experience look no further! The guides are so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable while spoiling you.
