It’s been in the planning document since we originally sketched out Rio Vista Lodge back in 2022, and we are happy to announce that our two lodges are now connected by an enormous zipline! Previously, our zipline course was located entirely at our original lodge, just upstream at POC Lodge which meant guests had to do a hike our 4×4 drive to get there. Now, the first cable is located right here at Rio Vista Lodge and the finishing cable puts you right at the base of the lodges deck.
And it’s a big one. It took months of on the ground coordination and construction but the final cable stretches 600 meters long (1968 feet), with 550 of those meters over the Pacuare River. Being such a long zip that also means we needed some height as well, and it doesn’t disappoint at 70 meters tall.
Our zipline course is available to guests joining us on our 3-Day Raft + Zip tour. This is by far our most popular Pacuare trip and is all inclusive with activities, lodging and meals.
