Comparatively to the <a href=\"https:\/\/pacuareoutdoorcenter.com\/nl\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"934\">Pacuare River<\/a>, The Pejibaye shares similar attributes, with beautiful jungle foliage, clear water, and fun rapids. The Pejibaye offers a level of fun that\u2019s hard to surpass, especially in packrafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pejibaye photo \/><\/div><\/div><\/figure><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Packrafting the Pejibaye<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Packrafts, which are small inflatable kayaks, allow you to navigate smaller volume rivers and creeks that would normally be inaccessible to larger rafts, such as a paddleboat. This is a perfect fit for the Pejibaye, especially during the dry season when the river is flowing low due to rain easing up in Costa Rica. With the lower water, this means the river is clear and refreshing, the rapids are small but very splashy (especially in these smaller boats) and the river can be navigated by even those who have very little whitewater experience (with a guide, of course). Our fleet of 12+ packrats means we can small groups of as few as 4 and larger parties as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pejibaye and the weather<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pejibaye is a smaller river with a big catchers mitt of a drainage, meaning when it rains the river can rise and fall quickly. Because of this, being flexible with your plans is essential. Occasionally, we will schedule a Pejibaye packrafting trip that turns into a rafting trip due to the water levels coming up. For those lucky enough to raft the Pejibaye, you\u2019re in for a treat, but it will look a lot different than our packrafting videos. When the water is high, the waves are big and the river turns into one long rapid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our most recent trip is captured in the video below. This was taken during low water during the dry season.
