What’s included:

  • Lodging: We’ll be staying in Casa Turire, Rio Vista Lodge & Namuwoki Hotel
  • Meals: Fresh, healthy meals will be prepared by Costa Rican chefs throughout the week.
  • Activities: All activities listed in the itinerary are included in the trip fare.
  • Shuttles: All shuttles between activities, lodging, and the airport are taken care of

What’s not included: Flights to and from San Jose, Costa Rica. Departure airport tax ($29). Breakfast & lunch on the first day and lunch and dinner on the last day. While staying at the Namuwoki Hotel, dinner is currently not included but can be added to the trip fare.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive and Drive to Turrialba Valley. After flying into San José, you’ll be met at the airport by your nature guide who is going to drive you to Turrialba Valley, where you are going to stay at the beautiful Casa Turire Hotel. On the way to Turrialba, your guide is going to stop at a restaurant where you can have lunch or snacks. We recommend booking a flight with an arrival time between 10 – 12 mid-day.

Day 2 — Angostura Paddleboard & Cultural Dinner. After a delicious breakfast, we are going SUPing on Angostura Lake. In the evening, we’ll visit the Rural Community of Sitio de Mata where we are going to have a cultural dinner.

Day 3 — Cacao Experience & Travel to the Caribbean Coast. After breakfast, we are going to start the drive to the Caribbean Coast, but first, we are going to visit Nortico Cacao Project, where you are going to learn and experience Cacao procedures and of course, taste them too. Then we are going to continue to the coast, where the rainforest meets the sea!

Day 4 — SUP experience, Nature Hike & Free Day to enjoy the beach! Today we are going to have so free time for nature hike, enjoy the beach and do some SUP at the calm waters in the Caribbean Sea. So be ready to have a blast.

Day 5 — Rafting the Pacaure River. After breakfast, we’ll head to the Pacuare River, famous for its whitewater and scenery. We’ll raft up to our lodge and then hike ten minutes to our accommodations. In the evening, your same raft guides will prepare a dinner for you while you relax at the lodge, disconnect from the electronics, and reconnect with nature.

Day 6 — Zipline, Tarzan Swing & Waterfall Nature Hike. Today is another full day of adventure! You will be experiencing our infamous Tarzan Swing and Zipline course! The swing will have you swinging hundreds of feet over the river while staying attached in a harness, of course. We have a lower platform for those interested in a less adventurous swing. We’ll also be riding on our zipline to experience the Pacuare River from another level. After lunch, we will have a nature hike to a local waterfall where you can swim and relax. The evening is time for relaxing at the lodge.

Day 7 — Pacaure Gorge. The famous Class IV Pacuare Gorge is today. We’ll leave Rio Vista Lodge, hop back into the rafts or kayaks, and tackle the most famous whitewater in Costa Rica. This section is what made the Pacuare River famous.

Day 8 — Fly home. Today we’ll drive you to the airport with a luggage full of memories and a lot of Pura Vida!
