What’s included:

  • Lodging: We’ll be staying in numerous lodges and hotels throughout the week.
  • Meals: Fresh, healthy meals will be prepared by Costa Rican chefs throughout the week.
  • Activities: All activities listed in the itinerary are included in the trip fare.
  • Shuttles: All shuttles between activities, lodging, and the airport are taken care of

What’s not included: Flights to and from San Jose, Costa Rica. Departure airport tax ($29). Breakfast & lunch on the first day and lunch and dinner on the last day.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive and stay in San José. After flying into San José, your guide will meet you at the airport. You’ll then be transported to one of our base hotels, in San Jose. Spend the rest of the day settling in, relaxing, or getting to know your fellow adventurers.

Day 2 — Travel to Turrialba Valley SUP Experience. After a delicious breakfast, we are going to start the drive to Turrialba valley and at Angostura Lake where our guides and gear are going to be waiting for us for some SUP. So be ready to relax and enjoy the time. Then we are going to visit Nortico Cacao Farm, where you are going to learn and experience Cacao procedures and of course taste it.

Day 3 — Rafting the Pacaure River. Today, we will head to the Pacuare River where we will raft into our Pacuare Outdoor Center which was built using all local labor and materials from the land. National Geographic sites the Pacuare as one of the five most scenic rivers on the planet. *POC Lodge amenities, include showers, bathrooms, fully enclosed bungalows, and great views of the river and surrounding jungle

Day 4 — Zipline, Tarzan Swing & Nature Hike. Experience an adrenaline-filled day with zip lining and the Tarzan Swing! Fly through the treetops on our 8-course zip line, enjoying breathtaking views. Then launch yourself over the river on the Tarzan Swing, which is jaw and stomach-dropping. After lunch, relax with a guided hike to a stunning waterfall and swimming hole, where you can swim and unwind. End your day with a pleasant evening back at the lodge.

Day 5 — Whitewater Rafting through Pacuare Canyon and Travel to the Caribbean Coast. Today we will be rafting the world-famous Pacuare Canyon. We save the best for last, and the scenery here is like no place else in Costa Rica. The canyon walls rise 300ft up in straight rock and 200ft waterfalls fall into the river as we float down a completely virgin tropical rainforest from start to finish. Then we are going to start our drive to the south Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, where the jungle meets the sea! This is such a unique area of Costa Rica, still very rich in culture and no high rises like you might find on the Pacific.

Day 6 & 7 — SUP surf, Nature Hike and free Day to enjoy the beach! Today and tomorrow we are going to have some free time for nature hikes, enjoy the beach, and do some SUP at the calm waters in the Caribbean Sea. So be ready to have a blast. At the end of Day 7 we’ll travel back towards San Jose and stay in the Studio Hotel

Day 8 — Fly home. Today we’ll drive you to the airport with a luggage full of memories and a lot of Pura Vida!
