What’s included:

What’s not included: Flights to and from San Jose, Costa Rica. Departure airport tax ($29). Breakfast & lunch on the first day and lunch and dinner on the last day.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive and Stay in San José. Today you will be met outside the San Jose Airport (SJO) by your private guide and driver. We are going to do a short drive to the hotel to have a group dinner and have a good rest.

Day 2 — Visit Irazú Volcano, Basílica, and Travel to Sitio. Today we will start the trip by making our way to the village of Sitio de Mata. En route to the village, we will stop by the tallest volcano in all of Costa Rica. Here you will be looking down into the crater of the Irazu Volcano. We will visit Costa Rica’s most famous church. Here you will learn the history and walk around La Basilica de La Virgen de Los Angeles. In the afternoon we’ll arrive at the Village of Sitio de Mata which sits across the valley from another active volcano, Turrialba Volcano. Here you will meet your families and spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the village and your new friends

Day 3 — Community Service. Today after having breakfast with our families, we will start our service project in the morning. Then we will have lunch and spend some time with your host families to practice your spanish. During the evening is time to spend time with your host families and of course practice your talents

Day 4 — Community Service & Visit Turrialba Indigenous Shelter. It’s time to continue our community service project so be ready to complete all the details. After lunch. We are going to start the drive to Turrialba Downtown to visit the Indigenous Shelter where we are going to learn about all their work, the indigenous Cosmo vision, and their lifestyle. We are going to visit Turrialba downtown and then back to the Village. During the night are going to have a farewell Dinner

Day 5 — Rafting the Pacaure River. After we say our long goodbyes to our families, we will make our way to the Pacuare River where we will raft into our Pacuare Outdoor Center. We will stop for lunch along the way and spend as much time as possible in the river absorbing all the nature possible!

Day 6– Zipline, Tarzan Swing & Waterfall Nature Hike. Is a full day of adventure at the POC. We will start by doing the Canopy and Tarzan adventures. Both of these will have you in full adrenaline mode. After lunch, we are going to have a nature hike to a beautiful waterfall where you can swim and relax

Day 7 — Pacaure Gorge. Brace yourself for the exhilarating Class IV rapids of the Pacuare Gorge. Depart from the lodge and embark on a thrilling rafting adventure, navigating the most iconic whitewater in Costa Rica. This section is what made the Pacuare River a top ten river rafting destination in the world.

Day 8 — Fly home. Today we’ll drive you to the airport with a luggage full of memories and a lot of Pura Vida!
