Bei unserer farbenfrohen W\u00e4hrung kann der Preis einer Sache in einer entspannten Umgebung durch die Farbe des Scheins angegeben werden. Ein guter Vergleich daf\u00fcr ist, dass in den USA ein $100-Schein als Benjamin bezeichnet wird. Im Gegensatz zu un rojo ist die Geschichte des Spitznamens jedoch nicht so klar. Ein \"teja\" bedeutet \u00fcbersetzt ein Dachziegel. Es hei\u00dft, dass fr\u00fcher ein einzelner Dachziegel 100 Colones kostete und so h\u00e4ufig gekauft wurde, dass una teja schlie\u00dflich einfach 100 Colones bedeutete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aussprache:<\/strong> Wird wie \"TEH-hah\" ausgesprochen.
